Anthen Threatens to Leave Health Exchanges if Subsidies are Halted

Reed Abelson of the New York times recently reported that Anthem threatened just yesterday that it would consider leaving some federal health care marketplaces or even raise their rates significantly if the government does not continue subsides to help low income people.

Anthem's CEO explains, Joseph R. Swedish, has set a deadline of early June for a decision on the subsidies, saying Anthem would weigh increasing rates by at least 20 percent next year.
