Virgil Dickson of Modern Healthcare reported that the new change to the way that some providers are reimbursed under the new primary-care model could deter providers from joining the Medicare initiative.
Dickson states, "The model looks to improve health outcomes and lower costs not only for
Medicare beneficiaries, but for consumers covered by commercial plans
and those in other coverage options, such as Medicare Advantage."
